The high-profile trial of Karen Read is underway in Norfolk Superior Court in Dedham. Prosecutors are seeking to prove that Read hit her boyfriend, Boston police officer John O'Keefe, with her car and left him to die in January 2022.
Read has pleaded not guilty to charges of murder, manslaughter, and leaving the scene of an accident causing death. Her defense attorneys claim that she is the victim of a conspiracy to frame her for O'Keefe's death by the Canton Police.
